“Racing is a matter of spirit not strength.”
My name is Chase Black and I've been riding and racing motorcycles since I was 2 ½ yrs old.
My father was a professional Motocross and Supercross rider and got me into Motocross the moment I started asking for a bike and my mom races motocross too. I started out riding a little CRF50 around a circle track and quickly moved on to a KTM 50SX Mini and then a regular 50SX.
I raced the 50cc class for a few years and fell in love with racing motorcycles. I moved up to a KTM 65SX after I outgrew my KTM 50's and have won multiple races and championships on that bike.
I started road racing in Texas last year on a Kayo 125. I live about 30 minutes from Circuit of the Americas track where MotoGP is hosted every year and I was at the very first MotoGP race at COTA. My dad is very fast on a road bike as well and has been helping me get started in road racing.
Last year I was able to podium in 4 championships in the Texas Mini GP (TMGP) on my Kayo 125.
This year I’m racing 1 of the first 2 Ohvale 110cc GP-O bikes in the USA. I’m the current American Supermini GP (ASMGP) 110c and 160c Champion and I’m also winning or in the top 3 places in 10 classes in the Texas Mini GP (TMGP), and winning 2 classes in the Central Motorcycle Racing Association (CMRA).
My goal is to get to the Junior Cup with the national level MotoAmerica series as soon as I'm old enough and I’ve just started training on an R3 bike to prepare.
